Yes glycosylated proteins will act strangely. There was two papers out in
Biochemistry by Leach, Colwan, and Fish about measuring molecular mass by
SDS-electrophoresis and other methods. There conclusions were the glycoproteins bind
enough SDS (the glycosylation doesnot bind SDS), so the charge to mass ratio is off. One
can expect between -50 to +50% change with glycosylated proteins. I hope this helps.
