Protein Elution from SDS Gels

Throw the piece of gel inside a dialysis bag and the bag in a
standard (old) electrophoretic machine with just buffer in the
cuvette. After a while all the protein should be against the
inner side of the bag, out of the gel. Open the bag, discard the
gel and close it again if necessary to re-dialyse against
appropiate buffer. If the acrylamide concentration is high
(say over 10%) and your protein is big, you can dialize without
removing the gel (the protein will not diffuse into the gel).
