Dear netters,
Enzymes which open epoxides by nucleophilic attack involving water
to give diol products can be called epoxide hydrolases. How would you call
enzymes which involve epoxide ring opening by other nucleophiles, ie thiols?
The guidelines for enzyme nomenclature and recent supplements were not
helpful to me.
Thanks for any input,
Stephane
