lipidating proteins

Is it possible to selectively lipidate a protein?
I have had an enquiry from someone who wants to purify a protein
then add a specific number of lipid groups onto it. I don't think
the numbers of lipids per molecule are critical but they 
should be consistent.

Anyone out there got any ideas.
