Using dye-labeled starch. I think it is azo-dye stain starch
The blue dye starch is particulate, when amylase hydrolyze the starch, the
dye (Abs 490 nm?) will be released into the solution. The amount of dye in
the solution (UV Abs) is proportional to the amount of specific activity of
