enzyme inhibitors

HI -- I want to look at immobilization of soil enzymes to soil organic
matter. For this I need a protein denaturant that permanently inhibits
pre-existing activities, yet can be removed so as not to affect the
added enzyme.
Pasteurization or Tindalization are possibilities, but I would prefer a
chemical.

My first victim is acid phosphomonoesterase. Is molybdate or vanadate
inhibition reversible?

Any pertinent thoughts greatly appreciated ??
