Hi
Its the distance between two cystienes.
CXC is Cys-ANY AMINO ACID-Cys
or
CC-- which is Cys Cys.
This is used for the chemokine. Receptors for these
chemokines are depicted by the letter R after the name of
the chemokine.
Most chemokine receptors are 7 transmembrane G- protein
coupled receptors.
