Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC.

The Center is the leading US multidisciplinary institution in the area of
physics and chemistry of biological molecules and biological nanostructures.
The subject of a current project is the study of mechanisms of electron and
energy transfer in proteins. Successful applicants will use state-of-
the-art equipment for study of light energy conversion in chromophores and
proteins, protein structure, protein membrane interaction. Applicants must
have experience in gene cloning and site-directed modification, protein
expression, purification, and biochemical characterization. Knowledge in
fluorescence spectroscopic and electron microscopic techniques is desired.
