[Protein-analysis] is coimmunoprecipitation alone enough

Hi,

I am reading publications, and find that, people usually do Co-IP, or
pulldown assays to confirm their yeast-two-hybrid result, but not many
people do yeast two hyb to confirm co-IP results. I am just wondering,
is co-IP itself alone enough to prove protein-protein interaction?
