1) Catalytic sites in enzymes are determined by amino acid residues as
well as 3d structure
2) there is usually one catalytic site due to more efficient control
over them
3) multiple catalitic sites do exist with either identical or different
function.
4) Many enzymes have additional catalytic sites that are only unmasked
upon modification of AA residues (eg. Phsophorylation).
