But it is laborious, time consuming and requires relatively large sample
sizes. Seal samples with 6 N HCl in vacuo, heat o/n, open the ampulles, do
quantitative HPLC. And with that many steps I'd rather not know what the
reproducibility would be.
Although, admittedly, one could use alkaline hydrolysis instead of HCL
which is slightly easier.
