Hey! Great subject choice. Anybody out there with any info about free-living,
parasitic amoebae? I'm particularly interested in those genera that have been
implicated in human infection, like Acanthamoeba, Hartmannella, Vahlkampfia,
and Naegleria. Would also like to get serum from patients who have had amoebic
infections -- most of these cases would have been diagnosed post-mortem. Not
particularly interested in Acanthamoeba keratitis cases (unless the infection
disseminated) because these people appear not to produce any antibodies against
the amoebae.
Thanks!
