As far as I know, no one successfully cultures Pelomyxa long term in
the lab. We can collect it from a pond locally in Maryland, but it
is a lot of work for a few (admittedly huge) specimens.
If you or someone from your lab is in the Wash. DC area, I could
take you to our "secret" site.
