Taxonomically, ALL of Mexico's freshwater invertebrates are little known,
thus providing a large and complex fund for new discoveries. Even though
people like Ruth Patrick and Evelyn Hutchinson have ONE paper on Pazcuaro
and Lago Chapala, SEDIMENTOLOGY is just about nonexistent.
Desertification influenced by human population pressure causes the loss
of much the New World fauna & flora on a daily basis. Shouldn't they be
at least recorded?
