Graduate Assistantship - Aquatic Ecology

Kansas State University, Manhattan

Responsibilities: Explore the food web interactions dynamics related to
juvenile walleye recruitment.  The project will involve documenting
spatial and temporal variations in distributions of phytoplankton and
zooplankton in Kansas Reservoirs. The student will be expected to
interact closely with the aquatic ecology group at Kansas State

Qualifications: Bachelors or masters degree with strong background in
aquatic ecology, limnology, or microbial ecology.  GPA of 3.2 or higher
and combined quantitative/verbal GRE scores of at least 1000.   Students
without English as their primary language must have current TOEFL scores
higher than 600

Stipend: $13,000/ year, after tuition.

Closing Date: Applications due 1 March 1999.
