ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

The Department of Microbiology and Cell Science at the University of =
Florida invites applications and nominations for a 12-month tenure-track =
position as Assistant Professor to develop an independent research =
program in eukaryotic molecular genetics. Applicants should have a =
Ph.D., post-doctoral experience, and a strong publication record in an =
area related to molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, and/or =
microbiology, with research expertise in the molecular genetics of lower =
eukaryotes. Individuals with an interest in the application of =
bioinformatics or expression profiling to fundamental research related =
to gene function and/or structural biology are particularly encouraged =
to apply. Regardless of the research area, we are seeking applicants =
with a demonstrated record of outstanding research. The successful =
candidate is expected to develop a research program supported with =
extramural funding, to be an active and innovative instructor of =
undergraduate and graduate students in molecular and cell biology =
courses, and to supervise Ph.D. candidates. Interested individuals may =
