Contig Editor: How can I save changed settings

I am using Staden 1998. Every time I start a Contig Edior, I am changing
some settings the same way. I want to see the Reading Quality and the
Consensus Quality. And usually I want to Set Default Confidences. I
guess there is some way to do this automatically. But I could not find
out how.
