inhalation rates

     What is the average breathing rate for a beagle.?  Does this vary much 
     with activity?  Also, I usually take the average breathing rate of 
     adults to be 20 cubic meters per day, with a slight increase to 
     perhaps 24 cubic meters per day with increased activity.  Is this 
     correct?  What would be similiar breathing rates say for a preschooler 
     3 or 4 years of age?
