formulations for screening

I would like some assistance regarding some sample formaulations that I 
could routinely use in initial toxicology experiments with new chemical 
entitiies. I 
would like to administer compounds which are not very watersoluble by the ip iv 
and 
sc routes. Any suggestions and recipes would be appreciated. What are some 
standards?? A point to a good reference text would also be appreciated.
