Genetically evolved wheat, it's coming!

For those interested in the subject of the potential toxic effects of
genetically modified organisms there is a nice article in Science vol.256,
p. 1747 by D. Kessler, et al.

I follow this area of toxicology only a bit, but I have yet to learn of
actual toxicity resulting from recombinant organisms (other than the
possible transfer of antibiotic resistance genes). Does anyone have any
actual references to real toxicological problems resulting from
genetically-modified organisms or is this a purely hypothetical problem?
This subject seems to be a good thread for group discussion in light of the
recent cloning results.
