The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry invites applications for a
tenure-track position as an assistant/associate professor of forensic
analytical chemistry.  We seek a Ph. D. chemist with postdoctoral or related
experience whose research will complement existing programs in the
department.  A background in forensic chemistry, broadly defined (including
toxicology or clinical chemistry), is required.  The successful applicant
will be expected to establish a research program that will attract external
funding, to enjoy teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate (M. S. and
Ph. D.) levels, to assist in the administration of the undergraduate
forensic chemistry program, and to assist in the establishment of a Master's
program in forensic chemistry.  Please submit a curriculum vita, a statement
of teaching philosophy, an outline of research plan, and arrange to have at
least three letters of recommendation sent to: Chair, Forensic Search
Committee, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Clippinger
