pachytriton sp.

Hi,
a pal of mine asked if I would post this message concerning problems
that he is having raising young Pachytriton. The problem is not during
the aquatic larval stage when they happily eat Daphnia etc. When they
emerge onto the land they appear to stop feeding and refuse everything
offered. Attempts at keeping them aquatic as can be done with some 
other young newts has also failed. The adults by the way are 
maintained aquatically all year round.

Additionally does anyone know of a good key to Pachytriton as there
appears to be considerable variation in imported specimens .
