Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis,
Medical Sciences Program, Indiana University Bloomington
Terre Haute Center for Medical Education, Indiana Univ. School of Medicine

Molecular Biology of Limb and Spinal Cord Regeneration

Five postdoctoral positions will be available in January 2001 for a two
year project project in Regenerative Biology and Medicine. The research
focus is on the molecular mechanisms that regulate limb and spinal cord
regeneration in amphibians. The project is funded by the Indiana 21st
Century Fund for Research and Technology and is a collaboration among
investigators at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI,
2 positions), Indiana University Bloomington (IUB, 2 positions) and the
Terre Haute Center for Medical Education (THCME, 1 position) in
conjunction with Eli Lilly and Company. Research will be carried out in
the university locations and, for some of the projects, at Lilly. There
is extensive interaction among members of the research team from all of
the locations. Candidates will work with Drs. Ellen Chernoff, Simon
Rhodes and David Stocum at IUPUI; Anton Neff and Anthony Mescher at
Indiana Univ. Bloomington and Michael King at the THCME.

Candidates should have a recent Ph.D., a strong background in Cell and/or
Developmental Biology, and knowledge of current techniques in molecular
biology.

Please send a CV, description of research experience and the names of
