tobin at fcs260c.ncifcrf.gov's quote:
Difficult to break immunological self-recognition to mount an
effective autoimmune response in a healthy human. Especially
difficult to produce a useful IgA response (IgG probably not
effective) with a single one-week exposure.

sorry, females are not tolerant to males. agreed that IgA would
be difficult to induce. The main problem I forsee (even though i find this
a preposterous proposal to begin with), is how these Ab's will block
conception. If I recall, sperm swim very fast and will find an ovum within
minutes to hours. So, will this Ab actually block this event? IgA does not
fix complement very well, and Ab-directed cell-mediated cytotoxicity will
undoubtedly not work against such a large onslaught of sperm in the vagina.
In my opinion, the mechanism would have to be an Ab directed against the
new blast, perhaps blocking implantation. However, the window of time here
is also limited, since will be tolerant to an unborn child, although I do
not know when this will begin. Any suggestions?
