POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN PAPILLOMAVIROLOGY

A postdoctoral fellow position is available starting 1/1/97 in my
laboratory in the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology at
Texas A&M University. The position is funded by the American Cancer
Society and is available for 2-3 years with possible continuation.
Research in my lab focuses on regulation of eukaryotic DNA replication
using papillomaviruses as a model system. Currently we are
characterizing the viral cis and trans requirements for minimal origin
function. We have determined that the minimal functional origin has a
modular, tripartite composition (submitted for publication), and the
available position would participate in the further characterization of
the functional and structural interrelationships between the 3 origin
subcomponents. A suitable individual for this position would have a
strong background in molecular biology and would have specific expertise
in cloning, sequencing, Southern blots, protein purification, Western
blots, PCR, transfection/electroporation, and mammalian cell culture.
CVs, including the names, addresses, and phone numbers of 3 references
should be sent to:
