Postdoctoral Fellowship

A postdoctoral position is available immediately on a NIH-funded
project to study the molecular pathogenesis of the hepatitis E virus
(HEV) by using swine HEV and pigs as an animal model system (see: PNAS
1997;94:9860-9865; J. Virol. 1998;72:9714-9721). Preference will be
given to candidates with experience in full-length cloning of viral
genome and viral gene expression and manipulation. Individuals with a
doctoral degree (preferably Ph.D.) and a strong background in molecular
biology and virology are encouraged to apply. Send your C.V. and names

Graduate Research Assistantship

Multiple graduate research assistant positions are available to work on
projects funded by NIH and a private animal health company on the
pathogenesis and vaccine development of animal viruses. The
prospective graduate students are expected to receive training in
molecular and experimental virology leading to the M.S. or Ph.D.
degree. Interested individuals should contact Dr. Meng for further
