Improving the Applicant Pool

Harvard-Radcliffe has a great summer program (the Radcliffe Summer
Program in Science) for aspiring high school students which entails both
academics in various disciplines in science and addresses present (and
future) roles/positions of women in science through a plethora of guest
lecturers, etc.

If such a program was expanded to more universities, I believe we would
see more  women scientists in academia...
