GRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANT: Joint Facility for Regional Ecosystem
Analysis, Insitute of Arctic and Alpine Research, University of Colorado,
Boulder

A 50% graduate research assistantship is available to work on
experimental manipulation of winter snow cover and summer temperature on
alpine plant populations and communities.  This experiment is part of the
International Tundra Experiment, an international network of arctic and
alpine experimental sites, and is also associated with the Niwot Ridge
Long-Term Ecological Research site.  A strong background in plant
identification, population, and community ecology is required as well as
willingness and ability to work in extreme physical conditions at high
elevation.  The student will develop a dissertation through the
Department of Environmental, Population, and Organismic Biology at the
University of Colorado, and will also have an affiliation with the
Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research.  

50% monthly salary plus tuition and some benefits.  Please direct
