From Weber's and Ward's posts, it looks like Ward's one of those
threatened males that Weber is writing about. Citing some study of
Canadian students to claim that economic gender discrimination should only
be studied by archeologists is a joke. That discrimination is thick and
one can see it daily in the most progressive departments at UC-Berkeley
among other bastions of enlightenment.
The backlash Weber talks about is pretty strong. I can't believe
the great white leader's hypocrisy of criticizing affirmative action. If
they wanted to outlaw it, they should start by outlawing federal hiring of
Euro-American males in proportions exceeding those in the country. Then
there wouldn't be any need for these tiny programs are barely able to
dent the overwhelming affirmative action towards males of European
descent. It is said that some women and other underrepresented
minorities feel guilt from affirmative action. Shouldn't white males
feel such guilt much more legitimately? -neo
