teratogens in molecular biol labs?

I used 131I and 125I as a pregnant post doc and my son, soon to 
be 19, is fine - very healthy and very intelligent.  I told the 
lab soon after finding out I was pregnant so they would be 
careful around me and understand the importance of my wearing 
the lead lab apron.  We all had our thyroids checked regularly, 
and no one had any contamination while I was there.  I was of 
course careful to work in the fume hood.
