Does anyone have some advice?

Hi, I am currently a student at Oberlin college and I am very interested 
in biology and medicine. I would like to have a career in the field, but 
I have heard that medicine is not a very good option right now...The 
field is too saturated and because of insurance and office groups, has 
become too troublesome and money-oriented. 

Does anyone have opinions to offer?  Would a growing field such as 
computers or stocks be a better alternative?
