Terrestrial Ecologist
Search Re-opened: The Biology Department of St. Michael's College invites applications for a
Tenure-Track position in ecology at the Assistant Professor level, to begin January or September 1997. The
successful applicant will have the Ph.D. with extensive experience in terrestrial ecology at the population or
community level. Teaching assignments will include upper-level courses in ecology and invertebrate biology,
participation in a team-taught general biology course for majors, and non-majors courses with laboratory
components. Total teaching load is 21 hours per year. Responsibilities include participation in our
Environmental Science Program, maintaining an active research program in which undergraduates can become
involved, advising, and service to the College community. Previous teaching and post-doctoral experience
preferred.
