job description
Applicant will conduct neotropical migrant and salamander
monitoring surveys,including dawn bird surveys and nocturnal
salamander surveys. Work will also include nest monitoring
activities and habitat assessment. Technician positions require
experience with passerine (id by sight and song) and/or salamander
surveys. Vegetation sampling, nest search, mistnetting, and
radiotelemetry experience a plus. Intern positions needs familiarity
with birds and/or salamander species.
The successful applicant will be willing to work cheerfully and hard
under very hot conditions and variable hours. The applicant must
also be able to tolerate unpleasant bugs, function as a member of
a team, and live in small trailers with other project members.
