hello all! i wanted to let you know about a master of science degree
program in science and technology commercialization offered at the
university of texas at austin (and in washington d.c.).

the science and technology commercialization program is a one-year,
executive-style program with classes meeting on alternate
fridays/saturdays. the program is designed to prepare students from a
wide range of professions to better manage technology commercialization
strategies, to launch entrepreneurial ventures, to compete in global
markets, to advise government and business on tech transfer policy, to
rapidly move discovery from research laboratories to markets, and to
manage technology licensing (intellectual property) activities.

the program is taught simultaneously in austin and washington d.c.
through video-teleconferencing. applications are accepted through
october 1 with the new class beginning in january 1998 (we'll be
video-teleconferencing with lisbon, portugal by then too).
