Faculty Position - University of Tennessee, Memphis

The Medical Technology Program at the University of Tennessee, Memphis
invites applications/nominations for a 12 month tenure track position now
available.  Major responsibilities include teaching preclinical hematology
and urinalysis and body fluids to medical technology students.  There may
be other teaching assignments in other content areas appropriate to
individual expertise.  Duties also include participation in scholarly
activities/research, some administrative activities and participation in
professional and other service activities.  Applicants must hold national
generalist certification as MT(ASCP) or CLS(NCA) and be eligible for
Tennessee licensure as a medical laboratory technologist.  Additional
minimum qualifications include at least a master¹s degree with an earned
doctorate or substantial progress toward the doctorate preferred.  Also
three years teaching experience  preferably in a university based medical
technology program.  Graduate teaching experience is desirable. 
Applicants must also have recent professional experience in clinical
hematology.  Salary and rank commensurate with education and experience.
