Biological litterature written by women

I don't know of any list, but (in addition to other suggestions already posted
on the newsgroup) how about Jane Lubchenco, past president of AAAS and
Ecological Society of America; or Rita Colwell, who heads up NSF; or Sylvia
Earle; or Jane Goodall. There's also a woman mathematical biologist of some
reknown; I believe it's EC Pielou, but I don't know where to check--always
published under her initials because her first name is clearly female.
