An interesting article in Salon, questioning whether boys are now the
ones being shortchanged at school.

http://www.salon.com/mwt/feature/2002/02/05/gender_ed/index.html

The author quotes someone who says that boys need to do active stuff
like go to a swamp and look for polywogs to learn, while girls like
to read something and then write a paragraph. I don't know about
other girls, but I'd
also prefer to go to a swamp and look for polywogs....
