?HowTo?: X-Plor with Linux

Hi all,

could anyone  with experience on compiling X-Plor (3.1 or above)
under Linux give me some advice on how to do it?
I found some time ago in the news archive a few questions concerning
X-Plor + Linux, but nothing recent and nothing very detailed.
