We have a setup of x-plor with g77 that runs on any platform g77 is running
on (with the exception that prexplor does not compile on SGI).

below are some benchmarks for a (small, nmr) job on different computers. The
speed of a g77 compiled executable on sgi is of course quite a bit slower.
