install failure

Hi,
	I've been trying to install v3.851 on our SGI R10000 system and
have run into a problem. Installation proceeds OK, i.e. on errors during
compilation etc. However, when I try to run anything, like the test
programs, all I get is core dumps. Infact, starting X-PLOR and then just
stopping it results in a core dump. Any suggestions?
