loop problem

I am getting the following error when I try to run an xplor script:

 %BACEND-ERR: loop too long.  Shorten loop or recompile
 %BACEND-ERR: exceeded BUFMAX (COMAND) parameter --> recompile program
 %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
 BOMLEV=    0 reached.  Program execution will be terminated.
 %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

Does anyone know where BUFMAX is set, so that I can change it?
