POSTDOCTORAL POSITION AVAILABLE
An NIH-funded postdoctoral position in protein crystallography is
available in the department of Molecular Pharmacology & Biological
Chemistry at the Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago.
The successful applicant should have experience in macromolecular
crystallography and should be interested in using ultra-high resolution
crystallography to address protein-structural questions. Excellent
oral and written communication skills are essential.
Projects in the lab currently focus on structure/function studies of
the GTPase domain of the prokaryotic SRP (signal recognition particle).
The lab is two blocks from Lake Michigan in downtown Chicago and only
thirty minutes from the Advanced Photon Source at Argonne. There are
several crystallographic research groups in the department and it
provides a good environment for research in macromolecular structure.
