PDB coordinates accessible for HIV-1 RT/dsDNA complex

Fri Aug 6 10:04:00 EST 1993

I have received numerous phone calls asking about the availability of
our coordinates for the HIV-1 reverse transcriptase complex with dsDNA. These
were supposed to be available from the Protein Databank as of July 1.
They ARE now available as prerelease entry pdb1hmi.ent by ftp
from Brookhaven. The entry contains the C-alpha coordinates for the
p66/p51 heterodimer (with residue assignments) and the P atom coordinates
for the DNA.
I am sending this in hopes that others who were looking for this set
will be able to find it. If you have trouble getting hold of the file
through PDB, I will be happy to E-mail you a copy.
The reference for the structure is Jacobo-Molina et al.,
"Crystal structure of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 reverse transcriptase
complexed with double-stranded DNA at 3.0 A resolution shows bent DNA",
