PEG & AS solution mix

Hi   
    I would like to set up crystallization with solution containing 
PEG 8000 and Ammonium sulfate. 
These solutions do not mix well and so when I tried to vortex,
it becomes cloudy and look like  precipitating. Is this
observation normal?. Could I still use the solution?. Any suggestion is
appreciated.
