EtOH/PEG solutions

A quick question.....

We are getting layered crystals due to rapid growth.  We would like to add some
EtOH to our PEG solutions in the drops and reservoirs to help slow down growth 
a little and hopefully improve crystal quality.  If you have had success with 
this or are familiar with this could you please give a brief description of your
success or a reference for me to look at.  As always, I would be quite thankful.
