Yes.  Magnesium formate is difficult to find, but a company in Connecticut
called Pfaltz & Bauer sells it (they also supply it to Hampton research
for their crystal screen kit).  The number in the U.S. is 1-800-CALL-1-PB
(i.e., 1-800-225-5172).
