Dialyzing Cysteine into buffer for crystallization

Dear Net:

	Has anyone ever tried dialyzing cysteine into crystallization
conditions to optimize conditions or change the space group of the
crystals?  
I was looking at a paper by:
McPherson & Rich, Arch. Biochem. Biophys. 157, 23-27 (1973).

Any comments on the paper are appreciated as well.
