The Howard Hughes Medical Institute conducts scientific research in
laboratories affiliated with leading academic medical centers throughout
the United States.  We are seeking a Research X-Ray Specialist to work
with an Investigator and the research staff at our Columbia Presbyterian
Medical Center facility.

The successful candidate will design instrumentation for specific
experimental needs as well as oversee the X-ray facility and maintain its
equipment, which consists of two Rigaku rotating anode X-ray generators,
a multiwire area detector, precession cameras, and crystal freezing
devices.

To qualify you must have a Bachelors (advanced degree preferred) in an
appropriate technological field and at least two years of related
experience.  Mechanical and electronics experience is required.  Specific
experience with scientific instrumentation or X-ray generators, as well
as with computer hardware and software, is preferred.
