I have to be more precise...

>I can't get hold of a figure for the current growth rate of sequence databases
>(preferably of a non-redundant gene + protein one). I'd like to compare
>to that of protein structures where I have a figure of 2-3 years for the
>doubling time of high resolution X-ray structures. Can anybody help?

I meant doubling time of NEW structures per year (quoted from Chothia
& Taylor, Curr Op Struct Biol 4, 381 (1994).
