RESEARCH ASSISTANT - BIOMOLECULAR RESEARCH INSTITUTE, MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA

The Biomolecular Research Institute undertakes research on the structure and
function of biological macromolecules with the aim of developing novel
therapeutic compounds against medically important diseases.

Applications are sought for a Research Assistant in protein chemistry.  Work
will be focussed on crystallisation for structure determination but also
include purification, chemical analysis and modification of enzymes, protein
receptors and antibodies.

Applicants should posses a tertiary qualification in biochemistry and must have
further practical experience in protein purification and analysis.  Experience
in protein crystallisation and good communication skills are also desirable.
